《JoJo的奇妙冒险OVA第一期》(1993年-1994年，共6话)是根据原作漫画第三部后半部分改编的动画作品，描述发生在埃及的战斗。另外，第二期OVA(2000年-2002年，共7话)改编的是原作漫画第三部前半部分的内容。
2007年5月25日发售的《JoJo的奇妙冒险 第3部 星尘斗士 DVD-BOX》(共13话)收录了OVA第一期和第二期的全部内容，并按故事发生的时间先后顺序，把OVA第一期安排为第8话到第13话。
