故事发生於一百年前，一座一夕之间被冰封的火焰山，人称＂天冰山″山内隐藏着绝世武功，而一位中年汉子目睹真相，其为曲忍（张兆辉）的祖父，故此，而被活活烧死，因故忍自小就被歧视，而誓找出封住冰山的钥匙和洞内位置图＂夜叉射月图″於是混入少林寺，此为经营霸业的第一步。一日，天一教教主逆天唯我（罗乐林）偕夫人古霜霜（崔嘉宝）至少林寺，忍为霜倾倒，而逆为一武痴，其妻为夫不惜对忍献媚，以取得六绝剑谱.忍偶然发现天冰山的札记，离开少林觅霜，而霜恶言相向，将忍打入崖下，十年过去，忍凭其才智，而在武林中形成神秘的势力。聂云（王龙威）乃昆仑奴的后人，其妻奴儿（叶玉萍）为霜所创之移天神宫的叛徒，云继承之日夜月图赫然出现，忍得知即下令夺取，八大门派亦私心顿起亦联手追杀云，途中奴产下一子，后托孤於逆天唯我，而八分之一的夜月图亦植於抗天（温兆伦）胸口。转眼数年，一日抗天巧遇陆野烟（黎耀祥）和古雪（蔡少芬），而雪对天亦产生感情，而忍亦派出其女曲兰陵（洪欣）为江湖掀起风暴，其后忍欲杀天，被陵所救，但天误以为为雪所救。
