松原淑美（黑木瞳饰）的父母在她童年时离异了，任性自私的母亲没有好好照顾女儿。每天当幼稚园里的孩子都被家长接走，只剩淑美孤零零的等待着。被抛弃的恐惧一直跟随到她长大成人，于是淑美决心保护自己的家庭，给孩子最大的安全幸福。可是事与愿违，淑美和丈夫槟田的婚姻生活并不如意，被迫离婚。对现在的淑美来说，整个世...界没有比她的小小女儿更重要，更值得疼爱的人了。 淑美为争夺女儿的抚养权，急促中决定搬到一所建造有年，面积宽大的古老公寓。但那幢房子总是给淑美“有什么看不见的东西呆着”的感觉，女儿郁子的这种直觉更加强烈。房子的湿气很重，下水道里散发着奇怪的气味，入住不久天花板上开始渗水，楼上地板上经常传来孩子奔跑的足音，一切都有些诡秘。 郁子在顶楼上发现了一个被丢弃的红色书包，她欢天喜地的悄悄带了下来。淑美发现后，不顾女儿的反对把书包还到了公寓管理处。几天后，书包又神秘的回到了顶楼，静静躺在那里。这样的怪事对于一心要开始新生活的淑美母女来说，实在不是什么大事。 法庭上的抚养权官司进行的很不顺利。槟田为了要回女儿，向法官报告了淑美曾去精神病院看病的事情。淑美保住女儿心切，在法庭上当场掴了槟田几巴掌。幸好有律师岸田同情她，在他的帮助下，诉讼朝着有利于淑美的方向发展。 郁子突然昏倒在幼稚园里。原来她躲在角落里，看见了无人的幼稚园里的恐怖事件。可是她醒来后，什么都回忆不起来了。与此同时，家里的淑美被看不见的气氛包围，她的情绪突然开始发狂。 两年前，郁子的一个同学失踪在幼稚园里，神秘的事件好象漩涡，从这个时刻起慢慢的逼近每一个人......
